Split to Krka day trip?
I couldn't find anything up to date o this so I thought I'd post again.We want to do Krka as a day trip from Split tomorrow, however we need to be back in Split in plenty of time to catch a night train to Zagreb at 9.20. Is this feasible? What time should we leave in the morning to get to Krka in order to not be rushed? I've read that the bus takes an hour and a half and then you have to be a local 20 minute bus from Sibenik into the park. Do these local buses run frequently? We're thinking of leaving Split at 10 then aiming to leave the park by 5, so we'll be back in Split by 8. Can we get away with leaving later than this and still see everything? (we like to lie in!)

I don't know if this would be working, but there is a great bus service Split - Skradin (Krka waterfalls) - Zadar - NP Plitvice run by Knezevic (Prevoz). No stops in between. Great buses. The only drawback is there are only a few runs daily - which may not coincide with your train travel departure schedule - but worth checking - run to the bus terminal.6
Thanks for all your help everyone. Were I to do this again I'd definitely try and go on my way up to Zagreb, however I bought my ticket from Split to Zagreb in advance and didn't know if I'd be able to get on halfway atPerkovic
For anyone else thinking of doing the same thing howeve, I got the 11.30 bus from Split and the 18.15 bus back and it was fine, a day trip give you lots of time to see the park, however we had o get a taxi back from Skradin to Sibenik as the bus is not regular and had we waited for she next bus we wouldve been very late ack to Split!
