HIKING COMPANION WANTED FOR PATAGONIA MARCH 2013!

Hey all!

My name is Row (female, 25, English but living in Australia for 12 years). I'm planning on heading to Patagonia in March(ish) next year for a month of hiking and general exploring. I'm looking at Torres del Paine and Fitz Roy region. I know it's not much time but it's all i've got for the time being. I'm into all things outdoors, am laid back, happy to hang out with guys and girls of any age (so long as similar interests and mentalities are met), i'm interested in culture and having fun and generally exploring natural beauty (corny corny i know!) Have travelled all over Europe, South Africa, SE Asia, India, NZ, Australia....very keen to add to my hiking portfolio and head to South America!

Anybody interested I'll be happy to discuss further details!

Cheers :)

I hope someone is interested (I wish I could go back) but you will meet people at the campsites who you will probably end up hiking with an hanging out with afterwards.

Do the full circuit on TdP (anti-clockwise).

Enjoy!

Hi there,

Thanks for your post. I have had a few people interested which is great! Thanks for the tip. Was definitely planning on doing the full circuit (why go all that way and go on the shortcut lol). I've heard about doing it anti-clockwise. Why is that?

Cheers,
Row

It means you do the pass over 2 days rather than one very hard day. I personally started and ended at Laguna Armarga, it was great to leave the Torres until last, a final highlight. Also I think the scenery opens up more dramatically anticlockwise.

Good advice above. In TDP in march you will find other people along the full circuit. The same for El Chalten. You will get more responses if you post this on the southamerican branch. The area around Ushuaia has some very good and less known trekking
