Todos Santos Cuchumatán

I have two questions for the experts about driving to Todos Santos Cuchumatán:
1) I tried searching, but couldn't find the answer to this: Is the road between Huehue and Todos Santos paved all the way? If it's not, which parts aren't and what kind of surface should we expect there?
2) Also, does anyone know which (if any) of the hotels there offer secure parking? Neither of the guide books I have (LP/Moon) mention parking anywhere, but they are both 2 years old and I know one of the hotels there was upgrading. I'm wondering if any of them have a parking lot - or were able to arrange parking for someone who has driven that way before - or if we'll have to find another solution when we get there.
(We'll be driving my friend's car, not a rental car, so we can't just opt not to have one for that part of the trip. We'll be driving to Guatemala from Mexico.)
Thanks in advance!

1I didn't drive, but when I was there last year it was well-paved up until the main turn-off, then gravel-dirt for the descent into town... easily do-able by car unless it's rainy season, during which time all bets are off.
Don't forget that there are some other extremely interesting towns up that way if you have your own vehicle.

3Well, if you only have a week in the area it's going to be a bit tougher because the villages around Nebaj really warrant 3 days at least in themselves, and that involves going down through Huehue and across.
As far as that route, I'd recommend spending a night in Aguacatan (instead of Huehue) on the way to Nebaj... it's a unique place and worth the visit.
Up past Todos though, you have the Q'anjob'al and Chuj towns starting with Soloma and up towards various others. Moon has good info on them... but heading up farther than TSC will make it harder to swing back down to Nebaj w/just one week unfortunately.
