Hey, just left Caraz a few days ago and though I don´t know about parking I can say that all the hotels there start at 50 soles or more regardless of quality, though it´s possible to barter to 40 with some. It´s a shame since the town is great (the Pollo a la Brasa in the chifa at the market is the best we´ve had in Peru) but all the hotels seem to have decided to collaborate and increase their prices - it does mean that shopping around is worth it as you may get a really nice room for 50 or a terrible one.Yungay or Huaraz have cheaper accommodations available if they´re not too far.
