Searching tourists for Danakil Depression in Sept/Oct 2012
Hi,I will be in Ethiopia from Sept 25th to Oct 9th and looking for people to do a 4 nights tour to Danakil Depression from Mek'ele. It is a very expensive trip and I would like to share the cost.

Hi,This post couldn't have come at a better time. I travelled in Ethiopia in 2010 but didn't get the chance to go to the Danakil & Erta Ale. I've been planning to head back to Ethiopia ever since so that I could 'complete' the trip & finally I have from the 25th September & through the whole of October to play with, so your dates fit in nicely with me. Room for an extra one?
I've been debating with myself whether to go or not due to the recent troubles in that area & assumed that I wouldn't find many people to travel/share costs with. So this is good news!
I'll be travelling solo also :)
I'm keen to join in.

So guys let's get something moving, we seem to have enough people interested in doing the trip. Now its up to us to align with eachother.I will be in Ethiopia from 21st sept. to 7th of october.

Jonathan from 25 to 9th
Noam want to start the trip 27th /28th
Tim might be around as well and Johannes is there also but he hopes to do it 10 to 14th with a friend
So coming from this, let's target end of september and try to get something moving. All together it can be substantially cheaper.

Hey, two friends and I are also looking to pool people and expenses. We will be arriving at Addis Ababa on September 29. We havent exactly figured out how we are going to get to Mekele from there. But if we are doing Danakil, it will probably be in that first week of October.Join us, join us! We are three easygoing, flexible and likeable (lol!) Southeast-Asian girls. We can dish out any information on any part of Asia on demand. Have we promoted ourselves enough? :D

I've just checked my flights and I actually arrive in Addis the morning of the 27th September, leaving on the 10th October. Merijn I'll wait to see what you've started to arrange with Noam as hopefully i'll be able to join you guys.It's looking good though - there's plenty of us with similiar itineraries so sorting a group/groups should be do-able =D

Katie, check your email, theres a full itinerary there and we are thinking of leaving the 28th now. So far it's Noam and a friend and I'm probably in as well. Price is 400$/person and then 150$ per day for the car, given that you would come we would be 4 so that would make 550$ for a 4 day trip with all included. Let me know what you think!
