Goa Advice

I am taking a 7 day hotel break in Mobor in November

However, I'd like to make a couple of day trips somewhere so any advice would be very much appreciated.

I was thinking of taking a day somewhere that is by the beach and a bit more on teh backpacker trail, but not too busy. Palolem would be my suggestion. Any other ideas? What's the best way to get there? Rickshaw? Taxi? Bus?

For another day trip I'd like to do something cultural. Maybe visit somewhere a bit more authentic. What are the best closeby options? Heading towards the central part of Goa?

Finally, is there anyhere it is possible to take a day trip and interact with elephants?

What wold be your recommendations for a day trip starting from South Goa?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like a broken record from me, but this warrants a recommendation to Old Goa- good for churches and the like. But not really a day trip- more like half day.

Can recommend a day trip to Dudhsagar Falls.

Also Sahakari Spice Farm near Ponda.
If you're interested in seeing some temples, there are several near Ponda, so this can be a good day trip by taxi.

There are few,if any elephants in Goa,Ditch the spice farm/temples.Do Dudhsagar waterfalls,Old Goa for the Churches.Try Fontainhas in Panjim for the living Portugese architecture.Must do Cabo de Rama fort and the beaches below the fort. It's enroute Mobor and palolem. Dolphin spotting also comes to mind.
