Hmmm, Google showed me that the Boru is an Irish pub, not very original and far from authentical me thinks. I have nothing against Irish pubs and i sometimes visit them in my hometown btw...

Since the OP posted this exact question for a multiple of cities, and since various people might prefer to go to different places for an enjoyable drink (whatever that is) i have posted my #1.

Nonetheless, if i would go to Bruges in October, i would very certainly have a few very good drafted beers in 't Brugs Beertje.
Not very certain what the OP is searching though.

Hey All,

This has been a great lesson for me. I sort of kept it vague because I am using this for a future blog post and wanted to just know what people's favourite places were. Then do some research and when I arrive, visit them. I wanted to go to places that locals or travelers go to and love and enjoy. And at the same time visit the area that surrounds it. But I guess I was a bit too vague.

So let me see if I can try this again. I am looking for people's favourite places to have a beer, wine or cocktail. It can be a casual pub, a cool sexy wine bar or just a really unique and different place. I am not fussy where it is in the city as this will force me to go and visit different areas if they are in different places.

Does this explanation work better? Thanks for the feedback.

You should go for "'t Brugs Beertje"(the bear of Bruges). It's a well known pub and it has about 300 different kind of beers!
A must visit when you are in Belgium!
The website is not really fancy, but it has the information you need: http://www.brugsbeertje.be/index_en.htm

Other nice places (where you'll find more young people) are:

Bar des Amis: Eiermarkt 19 (on the corner of the Grote Markt (Big Market Square) and the Eiermarkt (party place))
The Republiek: Sint-Jakobsstraat 36
't Poatersgat: Vlamingstraat 82
Bauhaus Café (belongs to a backpackers, so it's a nice place to meet other travelers): Langestraat 135 & 137
