safety in Port Moresby?
I am becalmed in Port Moresby staying at a nice church guesthouse but getting a bit stir crazy - the few people I have talked to seem to be divided between: "you could walk around down town by yourself "(I am a female in her 50s) and, "don't go anywhere without an escort and don't get in to any taxis" - anyone have advice?after POM I am thinking about heading to: Manus, Bougainville, and Kokopo - any sense if I will feel freer to move around in these places and if there are good, budget places to stay?
