Another good site on TB is at http://www.treasuretours.info - they have some places to stay that tb.net doesn't, and vice versa. They also do transfers and tours and I like the company a lot.

Lots of places to get a drink in TB, at least one bar per beach, several along the road. TB is quiet but not dead :) One of my favorite inexpensive spots to eat is Winsome's on Frenchmans Bay. Right on the sand and very reasonable.

october is a great time to visit treasure beach, but then if you ask me any time of year is a good time to visit treasure beach
if you are there mid october, you will be there for the hook n line tournament, always an exciting time

one of my favourite places to stay is bebe's place ... http://www.bebesplace.com/ ,
is is good to know that not all accommodations in the area are listed on the treasurebeach site
bebe''s is very private, the location is great very central and close to everything
also happens to be one of the cleanest places i have ever stayed

one of my favourite places to eat is dinners delight, very reasonable prices and great food
get a fresh juice at kim's place, she makes some of the best juices i have ever had

ohliz, sorry to tell you that winsome's closed some time ago, in fact you will find that area of beach is much different now, that entire area has been fenced off and being very private now

you can still access the beach by using the laneway beside the golden sands, no problem there

walk good

At first when Oliz mentioned Winsomes, I thought I had eaten at that place.
Now that Twistedsister mentioned that it was closed, I do actually remember eating there once, and the food was really good, especially the sorrell. I ate there the first time I stayed in Treasure Beach.
Actually the place has been closed for a long time.
I must agree with Twisted Sister that Diners Delight is one of the best places to eat in TB. Food really good there and inexpensive.

Winsome was open in April 2010, not that long ago. Well actually that's now over two years isn't it?

What do you mean "private"?

Now I am really confused :>)
I was there a couple of years ago and there was no Winsomes and no beach property fenced off.
We are talking about right next to Golden Sands guesthouse, right ?
I do remember a small cafe at that locations many years ago.

yes the property beside the golden sands
winsomes was right next door (coots place)
what i mean by private is that the entire property is fenced off, with a solid bamboo fence that must be 4 feet? high ( i am not so good at measurements) could be higher

fenced off from the road/ in the corner where people would drive in, park, and sit on the big slab of concrete in the shade - no longer able to do that
fenced along the lane way beside the golden sands,
fenced on the beach side with a gate,
i would say that the fence is up the the high water line.......you know that the water comes up pretty high on frenchmans

the next properties are all fenced and gated now as well, just not such an imposing fence

sorry that i did not take a shot that would be the easiest way to explain myself

it was weird to see the beach like that as that property has been pretty open for ever .......
going back and forth as much as i do am not sure when exactly this happened but in the last year for sure

hope my answer clears some confusion

Irie Rest is a very relaxed place. I paid 40 US$ for a very clean and spacious room but this was in 2007.

Jakes is a must see, find Dougie at the bar and you will be sure to have a great time. Pelican bar is a great spot!
Jack Sprat has a great vibe. Treasure Beach is one of my favorite places ever, enjoy your vacation.
