Please help me with my France trip!

Hi guys,

I'm hoping that someone will help me with some information about attractions and things to do in France.

We will be driving through the following in sequence:

Calais
Tours
Toulouse
Aix-En-Provence
Dijon

I would really appreciate if you can help me with providing information about things to see or do in the above towns? including food and restaurants, attractions, things to do, and please bear in mind that I have a toddler with us.

Thanks very much :)

Why did you choose those towns? Presumably there is something in each one of them that you want to see, so it might be an idea to experience whatever it was that attracted you. Of course, each town will have its own tourist office (with webpage) so finding more information will be easy.

Top tip: Calais is a dump, so I suggest you get out of there as quickly as possible.

The reason we chose these towns is because we are driving from Manchester to France and we don't want to drive for long hours as we have a little toddler and he gets unsettled very easily so we thought to drive for few hours then stop stay in hotel and check out the town.

We thought if there is not much to see in the town we stop in we are prepared to travel to the next town.

So, anyone help can help us please?

Thanks Voyager for the info :)

Personally, I would arrive in a pleasant port city rather than Calais: Dieppe is beautiful with a nice relaxed atmosphere; Cherbourg is a delight to visit and convenient for lots of interesting places including Bayeux with its tapestry; St Malo is supposed to be both beautiful and interesting although I have not yet managed to get there, and is close to the wonderful Mont St Michel. I'm not sure there is much point going a long way south when there is plenty to see and do in Normandy and Brittany.
