Please, no response from typical tour agencies unless you happen to know the kind of person I'm seeking. Thanks.

What you looking for is very hard to come by. Many regular guides can claim to know these thing, but might not be able to recognize what things you might find valuable that is not part of the normal information they might give.
You could consider trying to find someone from an NGO who whats to come along. They usually speak good english, have a good sense of society and are often well aware about history. Not so sure about wild life but that also depend on what NGO you talk to.
If the NGO route is to difficult to achieve (I never tried it myself), you could try to book Thinlas Chorol from the Ladakhi Women's Travel Company. But it might be very difficult to get her specifically since this is when the most amount of tourists are in Ladakh and she and her company are in high demand.
But if you can get her, it could be a good fit. She has worked in an NGO before tourism and am pretty well read on more then just the basic tourism stuff (If you google her name you should find quite a lot about her).
But like I said, getting her might be the hard part.
Either way, good luck!
