Hi,
1. Is it possible to arrive in Dakar on day 1, travel to Banjul on day 3, go east through Gambia, back to Senegal via Tambacounda and back to Dakar, arriving on day 15. Is this possible without rushing to much.
2. How do we get back in to Senegal in eastern Gambia?
3. Which kind of weather can we expect in early october?

Perfectly possible. Bush taxi Dakar to the border, local taxi to the ferry, cross the river to Banjul - allow a day.Eastern Gambia - local buses/bush taxis run to Tambacounda from Basse or you can move west again to pick up the Trans-Gambia Highway (less fun!).
If I remember correctly it should be drying out by October but there will be standing water, esp on the coastal route to Gambia.
