How to get to Ha Tien to Sihanoukville??
Hello Fellow travelersJust wondering what is the easiest way to get to Ha Tien to Sihanoukville?? Do any hotels in Ha Tien or Phu Quoc organize transport to Sihanoukville? Any information would be most helpful.
Kind regards Gordon

Yes,you can organise the trip quite easily. It's probably better to actually book it in Ha Tien, rather than Phu Quoc.At this time of year it's quiet,so bus schedules may change as there are fewer travellers From Ha Tien to Sihanoukville it's about 4-5 hours by bus,but three days ago I hired a self drive car,and it was much quicker- took about 3 hours.Need any more info just ask,or call in when you're in Ha Tien and I'll explain the various options2
Quite easy to get from Ha Tien to Kampot and from there to Sihanoukville. Canby publications has some info :http://www.canbypublications.com/sihanoukville-cambodia/sihanoukville-travel.htm

In 2010 I went from Kep to Ha Tien using a moto-romauk i.e. tuk tuk. It was a memorable trip through the country side for a couple of hours. Once at the border a motorbike picks you up and takes you to Ha Tien, around 10km's away, IIRC.I've no idea if there's a direct bus to Kep from Souk, as I took the bus only as far as Kampot, then grabbed a tuk-tuk to Kep, staying a day or two in both spots.
edit
Ignore. I misread. I see you want get from Ha Tien to Souk, not the other way :)

Does anyone have any contacts for private car rental from Ha Tien to Sihanoukville.I am going there in March to attend a bike event and need to bring my bicycle.
Also how long is the passport control at the border.
Many thanks.

I doubt private car rental would be suitable.probably the best way to do it is to go to the border early-i.e. 7am,and take a local minibus to Sihanoukville. These minibuses are used to transporting items like a bicycle, and can tie it on to the roof or the rear of the vehicle quite easily. At that time of day there should be no delays at the border.I went through there yesterday at 06.45,it took about ten minutes to be stamped out of Vietnam and in to Cambodia
