15I have been to Hotel Blue Horizon, twice!..Great place,But the grounds and restro do not look anything like the web site.I was last there 2 years ago. There is no outdoor sitting or dining. There is no room.Blue is in a cramped location. But I still went back there a 2nd time...stayed one day and moved to Hotel Kantipur.

Wonder which hotel you were at since the photos, even the roof garden, are dead accurate and I even know the people in the photos. There are now three buildings side-by-side with a huge garden where all the food is served. I am there at least once a year, last time in December 2011.

19Hotel Ganesh Himal in Chettrepati has a lovely garden with water features, a hammock and great menu. Plus they'll pick you up for free from the airport.
My personal choice in Kathmandu is The Yellow House in Paknajol. It has balconies on every floor with picnic tables, table tennis out back, fast wifi and $5 double rooms with a great menu.

20Go for Kathmandu Guesthouse, IMO better than any of the other places,
quiet and as stated, a lovely garden...
