Itinerary Help from Kochi to Mysore

I need some input/ideas about planning travel from Kochi to Mysore for a week or so next January as part of my So. India trip. I am a low budget, independent, solo traveler with interests in wildlife, natural preserves and scenic areas. Looking at several LP GB maps I note several protected areas that might be of particular interest including the following: Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, Silent Valley NP, Wyanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Madumalai NP, Nagarhole NP and Bandipur NP. Obvioulsy not the time nor resources to do all or even most. However would be interested to know opinions from those who have been in any of the aforementioned areas. I am traveling via public transport and this may well limit my options. Budget for accommodation is 1500 INR or less per nite. Would any of these destinations be within my budget and reasonably easy to access by public bus and enjoy for 2-3 days. Thank you very much for any help/advice. From Mysore I am headed back toward the coast and Madikeri as I move north toward Mumbai to conclude my journey at end of February.

if you are interested in wildlife wyanad will be a very gud option. you can take a bus (public transport to reach this place), i think if u want the cheapest travel , book a train to mysore...anyway u ll get much cheaper accommodation in wyanad but be careful and specify tht u wud like to get a cheap room around 1000.

Thanks much for the input friends. Munnar and Wayanad look to be multi-day stopovers. Happy Trails.
