Dual British/Israel citizen entry into UAE??

I want to visit the UAE. I have friends who live there. I'd love to take my husband, however, there's a catch. He has both Israeli and British passports. He could travel on his British passport, but on the photo page in his British passport it says "Born in Eilat."
So, while it's not an Israeli passport, and he has no Israeli stamps in his British passport, it would be pretty clear if someone read the photo page that he was born there, and thus most probably an Israeli citizen.
Does anyone know if this would pose a problem for him entering the country?

1Don't rely on assumptions by strangers posting on this board. It's very unlikely that anyone reading your post would have an authoritative answer.
The only authoritative answer you will get is from a UAE consulate.

2I agree. Contact the UAE embassy and ask them directly. But contact them at least twice and get the answer from different people. Government employees in the UAE are often not particularly well trained/informed/motivated. Those working in embassies outside of the country may be better informed but I'd double check everything you are told to be on the safe side.

3Thanks for the suggestion! I was planning on contacting the consulate before leaving anyway, but I've had issues in the past with consulates and embassies giving me conflicting information. I've also found conflicting information about this very issue on the UAE's own communications, not to mention that managing to speak to someone at a consulate or embassy can be difficult... I should know. I've worked at foreign embassies in the U.S. in the past. I was hoping I might find someone who had a similar experience to mine, for some reference. I of course take any guidance given on an online forum with a grain of salt, but it's usually a good starting place. That is, of course, why this forum exists in the first place.
If I ever find an "official" answer to this question, I'll be sure to post it for others' reference.
