Emerald Card

Is the Emerald Card, the bus and rail pass, still available? The guidebook mentions it, but none of the Irish or Northern Irish bus and rail services list it as an available pass. Searching the internet, it seems all information on it is several years old. Has it been discontinued? It seems to be the only bus/rail pass for both Ireland and Northern Ireland. Is there a similar pass that replaced it?

Regards,

Charlie

For future reference-

Contacted Bus Eireann, receceived the following reply:

Dear Mr **********,

Thank you for your email.

We no longer have the Emerald Pass.

There is now the Irish Explorer Bus and Rail pass.

Here is the link to where you can read more about it on our website:

Kind regards,

Maybe it'll help someone later,

Charlie
