Bolivia (La Paz) to Chile (Santiago)

Hello

I am looking to travel from La Paz to Santiago near the beginning of November this year. Can you please tell me what the best way to travel between these place would be and how long roughly it would take?

Thanks
Lou

It depends on how much time you have. Do you just want to get fro A to B, or do you want to make it a travel and visit interesting spots en route? It can take a day, or a month.

Well i will be travelling Bolivia on the way to Peru so will see the salt lakes etc and then make a quickish travel to Chile but I dont want to miss out on anything amazing that I havent heard about before, can you suggest things to see along the way? I would say I have about 10 days to do the travel back in as my flight from Santiago leaves on the 14th November and I would like a couple of days to look around Santiago.

From La Paz, you can visit Sucre, Potosi, then Salar de Uyuni and finish at the Chilean border, to proceed by colectivo to San Pedro de Atacama. For all that you'd need 8 days. You might need to choose only Sucre or Potosi, if you don't get your bus connections match your time schedule.
The remaining two days would be the journey to Santiago.

Good suggestions. If you have a few spare days you might consider the Elqui Valley in Chile.
