Namibia - visa
Hello! We are a group of 4 europeans travelling to Africa. We rented a car and our plan is to go from South Africa up to Victoria falls, Botswana, Namibia and back to South Africa. We need visas for South Africa and Namibia, but not for Botswana. Apparently we need to get visas before our trip, but there is a problem: in the application form for namibian visa you have to write down the 'intended date of arrival' and 'places to be visited'. Since we don't know the amount of time we will spend in other countries, we have no idea when will we arrive to Namibia. So I was wondering if the date you write down has to be EXACT or could it be just approximate (+/- 4days)?I hope anyone can help me with this, ANY information will be highly appreciated
Thank you :)

It wouldn't have to be exact. Put the earliest conceivable date as the intended date of entry and put the latest possible date that you might leave the country. They'll give you a visa that covers these times. I think Namibian visas are valid from date of entry, not date of issue so I can't see that you'll have any problem. Most people who travel overland as tourists are in your position and they don't have any problem with Namibian visas.3
Maybe you can contact Cardboard Box backpackers in Windhoek and book something with them (on Hostelworld or directly). You can then cancel and change the dates if necessary. Obviously, don't book anything that you can't change.http://www.cardboardbox.com.na/cardboardbox.html

Our next stop after Botswana will be Etosha national park, so we'll probably book something around there :)Thank you for your help!!
