Tim is fineJust got this report from Tim C's daughter:
"he is fine and will be arriving in Marrakech in the next hour. He has been in the mountains with my husband, while my mother and I have been relaxing in lovely riads in the country. I think they have done so much riding he hasn't had time to write and hasn't had Internet connection since Ouzarzate."

2Et voila ... Tim is returning to the chaos of Marrakech!!!
Thanks Marocfan, after the death of the 2 Portuguese from heat exhaustion I was firmly hoping Tim wasn't unwell from the same ... but he knows the ropes!
Next time Tim, make sure your phone has internet on it & able to access us .. you've caused a few hours of worry :) http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=2213225&messageID=19976815#19976815

4Sorry guys, been out of contact. As Howard Carter said, "We've seen some wonderous things."
It's been unseasonably high temperatures in the Zagora and the south so our plans to do the southern routes had to be canned. We headed for the mountains but son-in-law Alfie got a mixture of heat exhaustion and an adverse affect from Coca-Cola's Ciel table water (heavily clorinated) so we stopped overnight at the Kasbah les Roches in the Todra Gorge and spent almost an hour in the freezing water of the Todra.
We then tried some pistes that were supposed to be broken, and yes, they were. After 40km we wild camped at 2750m (9000ft) and it got down to 5C overnight. As the piste was broken we had to go back again, and set off again on another piste then ended with a 1000m descent into Anergui where we spent the night in a gite with a hammam and wonderful tagine for 120dh each (dinner, bed and breakfast). We then did a loop from the Cathedral (famous rock in the Ahnsal Valley) and on to the Ait Bougmez Valley which was wonderful. We stayed at Gite Filou which was 200dh dinner bed and breakfast which was wonderfully decorated but would have benefited from a woman's touch in the cooking.
This morning over the 'dinosaur footprints' piste from Ait Bougmez to Demnate and then high speed west into Marrakech.
