I live near the Black Forest (over the border in France) and can't name any! There are some nice hotels. One of our favorite destinations in the Black Forest is Badenweiler but I can't name an actual resort there.

If you're headed to this region with kids that age (mine are 8, 10 & 12), I can give you tons of recommendations of things to do. Europark is a must. Hot springs are fun for kids as well as adults. There is a lot to do just over the border with France; the Ecomusee, the car and train museums in Mulhouse, etc.

Centerparcs has some properties in the region. Sorry but their site is a MESS. Good luck if interested but usually people stay there off-season.

Since the weather here is not the best, even in summer, a resort industry wouldn't be very successful. Perhaps someone knows of something?But don't hesitate to come here with kids. It's really a great place to visit, beautiful, great food, lots to do and sometimes, it's actually warm and nice, especially in summer!

Can you recommend any hotels in that area? My kids are 6 and 7.
