don't put ideas in others heads hilron Ha! Ha! we've had a few here mistakenly say VOA OK and some have listened been refused boarding on their prebooked flight, note for entry visa you will need again workshops etc letteres of invitation like social visa which is 2 mths extenmdable.
NO! NO! tourist visa in advance from BK or home Embassy etc and prearranged is not VOA!

Yes hanno but only if you fly with Myanmar airways,plus some flights also from China.
But also please note that some who did thishave been refused entry at, RGN Mingadon airport. best get it in advance its simple enough. Until they relax their restrictions and also reintroduce the VOA procedure.

Hilron, I have got an email from my friend who was at Yangon Airport on 4th June that an individual who arrived without any paper was checked out of immigration with Entry Visa after talking to a lady. She made a couple of phone calls and after about 1 hour this individual was all smile and walked out of the airport.

Similar instance is on 1st of June, a frequent flyer on TG arrived at Yangon Airport without any visa or supporting papers. He made a few phone calls and he was also checked out of immigration on Business Visa - which I heard is the very first Business Visa on Arrival this season.

I think they will relax the rules further. Real visa on arrival is on the way but you need contacts.
