Boats/Ferries to the Corn Islands

Hi all,
According to this very helpful web page http://rightsideguide.com/2118/how-to-get-from-managua-to-the-corn-islands/
there are boats that leave Bluefields (or El Bluff) on Wednesday AM, Friday AM and Sunday AM.
I want to travel later this week week but don't know whether this info. is still accurate so can anyone advise whether these boat departure times are still correct?
Many thanks for any advise, Darren

Still correct (though that doesn't guarantee that the boat will leave at it's scheduled time).

But don't go! You will miss the biggest festival of the year in Bluefields, the Maypole festival! It will be held on Saturday and last into the night, and then Thursday night is the Tulululu parade, another must see.

You can squeeze outta here between the two and visit Corn Island, but come back on the Thursday ferry!

Thanks for the compliments on the web page, by the way.

Have a good trip!

OK thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I'm stuck in Granada so will miss tonights shenanigans.
I have another question. Is it possible to do the Managua - El Rama - Bluefields - Corn Island trip in one hit. For example if I get the Tuesday night 9pm express bus from Mangua, will this allow me to secure a passage on either the Capt D or Rio Escondido boats that leave Wednesday morning without having to sleep in El Rama or Bluefields? Is this Feasible without reservations?
Thanks

Should do. Never taken the cargo ship from El Rama, but I don't see why that timeschedule won't work. You don't need reservations. The Capt. D has beds, but if you leave on any other cargo boat, make sure to bring your hammock.

Sorry you missed Maypole. Let us know how goes your trip!
