What can I do in Warsaw at night?

I am travelling from Warsaw to Vilnius by coach, and it's a night coach departing at 23:20 from Warsaw, on 2nd of June

On that day I am coming to Warsaw from Krakow.

Should I arrive Warsaw at around 17:00? Because my friend told me that Łazienki Palace is worth a look, and there should be some other sights. But I don't know if all the places will be closed at that time (I actually don't mind just looking from outside).

Or should stay in Krakow for a bit longer?

Is there anywhere I can sit down or do something until around 22:30 (which I should start going to the coach station) ?

Thanks!!

Łazienki would certainly be a nice place to visit. The park itself is very nice. The Palace on the Island is open until 2100 on Saturday and Sunday, although you don't find this on the "opening hours" page, but under the ticket price page. I guess bad web design knows no borders.

If it's a Thursday, the Warsaw Rising Museum is open until 2000. Then maybe a walk around, and finish up at the bar on the top of the Marriott hotel. A pint will set you back something like 17 zł, but the view is great. Maybe better than from the Palace of Culture, because you can see the Palace of Culture from their bar.

After the sightseeing, spend the rest of the time seeing the Old Town and having a meal/drink in the Old Town Square (Rynek Starego Miasta).

There is no entrance fee. Small beer (0,33) costs around 4 EUR. That's similar of a price to go to the top of Palace of Culture, but there you only pay for the elevator, no beer. The choice is obviously simple :)
