RWANDA VISA

Hi there !
I'm australian and heading to Rwanda in june; I need a visa but my problem is that I'm going to GOMA just for the weekend; ( friday till monday morning) so I need another visa to return to Rwanda; can I apply for 2 single entry visas at the same time on the net ?? or is there enough time to apply when i get to Goma on friday to return to Rwanda on monday ? ? as far as I know there is no double entry tourist visa application on the net !
any ideas would be appreciated !

There should be no reason why you can not apply for two at the same time as you will have different entry/exit dates but have you contacted the rwandans at the contact address on the contacts page and asked about the possibility of applying for a multi entry visa on line

I would check this very carefully. While I know nothing about the Rwandan situation, visas are normally conceived of not as "tickets" but as "permits". In most countries you cannot legally hold several visas at the same time (as opposed to a single visa with several entries), and if you get a new visa with another one still valid, the older one will be (considered) cancelled.

They must be used to people who wish to make short trips out of the country and so there ought to be some mechanism in place. What it is I do not know but this was why I suggested they contact the embasy - given that the trip will have been taken by now would be interesting to hear what they did regarding the visa

Well, isn't one of the wonders of travelling that you often don't find some facility that it would seem reasonable to expect? :P

The point is that people are asking questions here because they need information, not (educated) guesses. I have no information about this specific situation but I wanted to warn the OP against jumping to conclusions based on mistaken assumptions. People do get stuck and are then forced to detour. In the case of Goma that would be rather painful.

That was why I suggested they contacted the rwandan enquires facility on the visa web pages as that is where they would be able to get a definitive answer and guidance on what best to do

Txingo - time to eat humble pie?

Some countries do apply common sense to the nightmare of visas even if as here you have to apply twice and perhaps you should follow your own advise!

Rwanda visa update. Hey! On 14th May i applied on line for Rwanda visa and i got the confitmation today - on 18th May. I didnt attach any invitation letter, so it's not necessary. The visa is single entry and valid for the dates I asked. There is a fee of 30$ upon arrival.
