May Mountaineering anyone???
May Mountaineering anyone???I was thinking if anybody would be up for a short (7-10) days trip to shed some extra winter padding (heheh) and have some good exercise plus take in some of the most amazing views ever created - those of the mountains. I was thinking to go to Corsica maybe or to the Dolomites as I have never been in either place but am open to suggestions. I am a fit walker, walk fast though this can be negotiated, and don't mind covering more ground daily than the guidebook prescribes - walking 8-9 hours daily is completely fine, both in terms of enjoyment and punishment for Easter overindulgence :) But if you have any other suggestions, let me know. Like everyone else here (heheh) I am an easygoing, openminded person :) and actually majored in cheering up people despairing on a long, tough trail.
I have no technical experience nor have I ever used climbing equipment but if there is way to get somewhere by using your legs and your hands to scramble on rocks, make no mistake, sooner or later I will get there. So if there is anyone for a May adventure, the more the merrier. Oh, I have a 4 seater car so if driving to our excursion starting point were to be cheaper, I'm game (assuming you CAN drive there :) My holiday is from 12 until 20 May and I am quite flexible within that period. Shoot me an email or respond if you're interested. I live in Belgium so if Italy is the destination and you live on the way, we could of course carpool. Otherwise it would still be fun to meet in Italy/Corsica and take it from there. For better contact, you can email me at lukasz dot euro at gmail.
Oh also I speak fluent French and Spanish and good Polish... :D
