Travel agent required for Mongolia?
Hello,I am filling in my visa application form for Mongolia, and noted that I have to fill in the adress and phone number of my travel agent. I don't want to travel with a travel agent, so can I just fill in 'none' or am I required to travel with a travel agent? I am a Dutch citizen. I can't find anything on the website of the honorary consulate.

We just put the name of our hotel and the company that were sorting our train tickets for us, that should be fine - ours went through no problem (we applied just before Christmas 2011).Word of warning, I would strongly recommend you do not take any tours with a company called Black Ibex/Discover Mongolia - when we were there in January we took a two day tour, paid £500 - main issue was the quality of the guide and the fact that most of the activities we had been promised did not materialise - we were expecting to be travelling about spotting wildlife and viewing the countryside etc - in realty we drove for 5 minutes in the national park, and then as soon as we saw a tiny glimpse in the far distance of the takhi horse we were marched straight back to the ger and told to rest for the remainder of the day. One night in a ger and then we had to go back to UB because the heating in the vehicle wasn't working and it was -30 outside. They wouldn't entertain our complaints, called us liars and wouldn't hear of a partial refund.

Hi,Dutch citizen as well. We had exactly the same problem. We called the mongolian honary consulate (Breda) and they told us that we should fill in the adress of Tiara Tours because we booked our train tickets over there. You could just call the consulate and I'm sure they will help you in any way they can.
