How to obtain Cuban tourist card from San Jose Costa Rica?

I am traveling to Cuba from San Jose Costa Rica. Where or from whom can I get a Cuban touris card? Neither the tour operator nor Taca provides them. How abour Cubana?

I think you can buy the tourist card right there in the San Jose airport--not at the counter (except maybe Cubana), but from a clerk nearby. This is how it was when I last flew from there a couple of years ago, and I have not heard of any changes. It's pretty much the same in all the Central America and Mexican airports that have flights to Cuba.

Odd, though, that your tour operator doesn't provide it. All the ones that fly out of Canada do.

TACA will have them for you. I know of no airlines in that part of the world that would let you get on a Cuba-bound flight without providing you with one, at a fee, of course.

My experience has been the A taca agent will sell you the tourist cards as you wait to check in and once again at the boarding gate they announced that you needed to buy one..otherwise you wont be let on the plane.Dont know what the procudere of Cubana airlines in costa rica is

Taca sells them for $15 at the gate. I have flown through CR 4-5 times in the last two years and it is always the case. Ditto if you fly Taca via El Salvador.
