Malaqi trail is a heavy hike through the canyons in which you initially will rise part of the Malaqi canyon and descend it back, get another canyon and came back to the Reserve Visitor Center. You will have to swim against the stream, climb a steep section and rappel down a waterfall. It's very tiring, unless you're in excellent shape and are accustomed to severe physical stress probably in the next day will be with muscle pain - only you can know whether you are or not able to participate in another hike.Wadi Mujib Reserve does not have much to do other than participate in traisl, bathe in the river, the waterfalls and in the Dead Sea
To optimize your time and transport costs you can plan on coming from Amman and Madaba to Mujib to visit on the way, Mount Nebo, Batism Site Hammamat Ma'in, Mukawir (not all but at least three sites) and arrive in the middle of the afternoon in time to enjoy a swim in the Dead Sea and the sunset. So if you decide to participate only in Malaqi trail it is enough one night in Wadi Mujib - keep your luggage in the administration because the trail ends after the end of the daily stay.
Arrange in advance a transport from Wadi Mujib to your next destination. If you ask a taxi to the adminstration they will use the "my friend"classic paradoxical .... they will arrange the cab of his friend by five times the normal price - this happened to me.
