Snow on Tioga Pass to Yosemite
I thought I would post this article, which discusses the clearing of snow from Tioga Pass, the route up to Yosemite National Park from the eastern side of the Sierras. It seems to be a periodic topic of interest on this board.According to the article, they start clearing the road on April 15, and the average date at which it opens is May 29, but has come as early as late April, and as late as early July. The average date it closes is November 2, but it stayed open to January 17 this year.

Tioga and Glacier Point Roads Plowing UpdatePlows have reached Yosemite Creek and are seeing below-average snow amounts. Snow depths are up to three to five feet. Despite the below-average snowpack, full avalanche precautions are still in place.
There is no estimated opening date for the Tioga Road.
