Antequera - Taxi's on Sunday

HI, I have already searched but no success...

Just wondering if there is a Taxi stand or a number of Taxi near the Antequera Station (in the city) that can take me to Antequera Santa Ana station so I can change lines. Will there be plenty around on a Sunday? How long would this take?

Thank you.

What are you trying to accomplish (from and to) train or transport wise? There may be simpler.

hi,

I want to get from granada to ronda on sunday 17.06 however the direct train route does not operate on that day. So I must take two trains, one to antequera arrive 10:28 am. and the next leaves antequera santa ana at 11:18 am. I figure I will have time to take a taxi between stations (it is only 17km) but I was just wanted to know if I can expect to find Taxi near the station to make the connecting journey.

Regards,
M

Also, Amillos_de_saturno, Do you know how far in advance of the trip date TG Comes bus tickets become onsale on the internet. From what I can tell (using movelia webiste) it is only one week before the trip that they can be purchased online.

M

'I want to get from granada to ronda on sunday 17.06'

I am not following your #3. There are three journeys direct G to R on any Sunday, the same as any other day.
0650, 1345, 1725 from Granada, no greater than 2 hours and 30 minutes journey time.
'I figure I will have time to take a taxi between stations (it is only 17km) ' - hmm, probably, but does not 1345 suit?

There may be a taxi outside the station, there may not. If you still want taxi numbers, advise.

Hi Annemariet,

Perhaps there is some line work happening from 10 June onwards (no notices on website)? Renfe site is quite a maze. I have look using the Compra Billets method and the Horarios Y precios method both show no services from 10.06.12 onwards

Can you answer my questions about the purchase time for bus tickets above?
Cheers,
M

Edited - I also did a simple search Grenada -> Algeciras which is the same line (i tihnk) and also no services avaliable.

Ah!

Train timetables and prices all over Europe (may) change on the first or second Sunday of June every year. June 10th is a Sunday. RENFE are usually very slow in this 'updating' - some info, will be there completely for some routes, in part or not at all. There is no doubt the journeys will appear. Monitor to suit yourself.

I have no experience of purchasing bus tickets on-line and it would not cross my mind to do so. Several bus companies, from posts I have seen over the years, do not permit purchase until the journey is 'imminent', i.e. two weeks away, perhaps it is one week with TGComes.

Hope this helps.

Good luck - and where I say '(may) change' - the likelihood will be no difference in the schedules, so you can base travel plans on the present showing.

@grayballs: Don't worry! It's sure there'll be direct trains from Granada to Ronda on your travel date. As annemariet said, the train schedule (may) change in June (there are two changes a year one in June and another one in December) and RENFE usually makes public the "new" (I put "" because many times there isn't any change in the schedule of most of the routes) schedule close to the day it starts to be in force. However, it's sure the new schedule will show at least a direct train from Granada to Ronda on Sundays (the aren't going to suspend all the services). When there's engineering working going on, RENFE puts buses to guarantee you reach your destination so that won't be a problem.

I don't know how far in advance you can book a ticket with TG Comes but the web of Movelia will tell you so if you are seeing you can't book those tickets more than one week in advance, that'll be the limit with that bus company.
