things to do/see

Hi guys,

I just settled for Cambodia to go for my honeymoon, in august.
I don't know too much about the country, only PP and Angkor, I just start to read about it.
What else can we do/see here? We are looking for nature and wildlife, and also to see the local way of living (tribe trip?).
The plan is to fly to BKK and from there to go on land to Cambodia, with a few days stop for relax on a beach (Ko Chang/Sihanoukville?).
Do you have any ideeas/advices of what else should we do in Cambodia?

For nature: Ang Trapang Thmor, Thmat Boey, Prea Veang. Don't expect to see many mammals, but plenty of birds.

What is a "tribe trip"? Gawking at the locals? Pub Street might be good for that....

I went to Kratie for the mountain dolphins, which were cool.

Those mountain dolphins are indeed pretty cool, but also the long legged mountain crocodiles and dwarf mountain elephants in the Cardamoms ;)

You should try research about some local festivities/major events to be held around the place you'll be staying so you'll know what to anticipate during your stay and you could join if you like such events.

Although I have not been to the Cardamom Mountains myself, if you plan to visit PP and also Sihaunokville, then why not check out that area. This place gets good reviews:

If you don't want to buy a guide book look at canby or talesofasia for yourself.

I would suggest a trip down to Kampot for a few days, it's beautiful and you can travel to nearby Kep and the islands are such a fantastic place to visit for a few days.
