A Place to stay in Nha Trang - advice please.
Hello.Planning 5 nights in Nha Trang at the end of the month.....reading through past posts on the area it seems to be an even split on those who love the place and those who can't wait to get out!!
I like the beach, but being a touch on the Mature side now, I don't want to be in party central...although within walking distance is cool.
Is it possible to get beach front Bungalows in Nha Trang?? or close to the main beach?
I'm also considering heading north to Doc Let Beach as it sounds quite nice, but my first choice is Nha Trang.
Budget is up to $75 USD per night, a pool would be sweet, as would walking distance to the beach and main areas....or bicycle. Wifi, A/ C and inclu Breakfast... but that seems to be standard everywhere these days. Not a family oriented place either with screaming kids and parents screaming at their kids :)
Looking for comments from people who have stayed recently - cheers.
Yes, I have been working the search function, Agoda and TA....but after an hour of that my eyes start hurting and i go to my default option, the LP-TT.
Thanks in advance.

We've spent the last three weeks in NhaTrang, the Ana Mandara on beach side TranPhu has bungalows, pools, beach but a bit dear for us but across the road is a plethora of hotels, all vying for you business.Be mindful that you will be there during Vietnamese holiday season, and it will be packed and two to three times dearer.
The HaiYen hotel on tran phu has a nice 25mtr pool out the back and will allow use for 30g dong, we use it most days and unlike the Ana Mandara, is not full of ineabriated, oil covered Russians, some days we are there alone.
If you aim for the airport end TranPhu you will avoid the so called backpacker area TranQuangKai, and the multi story high cost end.
We are from the GoldCoast oz and NahTrang is much like there.

OP what do you mean by the end of the month ? I'm arriving on 28th April and only just managed to book last week a good hotel as that weekend is a long bank holiday weekend until 1st May and everything was filling up fast. If that coincides with your timing and you haven't yet booked anything, then forget it. Come on the 1st May when all the Vietnamese are checking out.3
I was in Nha Trang in December. We stayed at a government hotel across the street from the beach. It was about $7 US per night. Maybe 10 or 15 rooms all facing a central courtyard/parking lot. A western style coffee shop on the beach across the blvd, a night manaager who's wife does your laundry for a minimal fee, and even a clothes dryer.I have no idea what it's name is but it's the only one story structure there, and has a sliding metal gate across the driveway entrance that they close at night. The coffee shop across the way, on the beach, turns into a disco at night but it's loud music is pretty much drowned out by the sound of the waves and wind crashing onto the shoreline. The rooms are very basic but clean, no view from the rooms, but when you step outside, the ocean is right there.4
checkingirl - plans are fro the 29th through to the 4th....Thanks for the "heads-up" - I had no idea it was a long weekend and Nha Trang will be full.I can make a slight adjustment to my plans and arrive on the 1st - no problem.
xray & jeffaugust - thanks for the suggestions.
Cheers.
