Serengeti and Ngorongoro

Hello,

I'm looking for help, and a lot of it.
I'm looking to do a trip through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro after I climb Kilimanjaro in late July/early August. Can anyone recommend any particulars good companies to go through? I am a solo traveler, and while I want to be a responsible traveler, I'd like to go on a relatively more budget style trip. Also, is it possible to get to Lake Victoria on one of these tours?

Any recommendations for Kilimanjaro companies, likely six or seven day Machame, are also appreciated. And if you'd like to join in on the fun please let me know!

Cheers!

On three different trips, I have had good experiences with a reliable Tanzanian company based in the town of Moshi, see www.ahsantetours.com

With two friends I did the 7 days Machame route, and we all summited without major problems. This route is very good for acclimatization. You can send Ahsante Tours an email to ask for conditions. Good luck.

Wow, that is a trip that I'd definitely like to join!! I have recently travelled with a company called Nomad Adventure Tours in South Africa and I saw in their brochure that they also have tours to the Serengeti, Masai Mara and Kilimanjaro... I was looking at this option because I am also really keen to see the Silverback Gorillas in Uganda!

The person that I spoke to was Chris, maybe he can help you out too? Try him on chris@nomadtours.co.za, and their website address is www.nomadtours.co.za. I had an EXCELLENT time with them on the South African tour.

Hope that helps! It's my first Lonely Planet post :)

Cheers

If you are planning a safari in Tanzania, it might be a bit unlogic and not very cost efficient to use a company from South Africa. The South African company will probably use Tanzania based companies, so you might as well contact these directly.
There are lots of companies in Tanzania. Many companies that do safaris, also do Kilimanjaro climbs.
