1 Month Croatia Itinerary Advice Needed

Hi All,

As part of a larger 10 week honeymoon trip in Europe, my SO and I will be spending 4 weeks relaxing in the sun of Croatia. To give some context, we are coming to Croatia from Bosnia, and heading to Slovenia, then going to Hungary and finishing our trip in Czech Republic.

Questions:

1. I dont see a lot of info on Makarska Riviera as to how it compares to the experience on the islands, but the beaches look amazing, and our first priority in Croatia is beaches. We are thinking to stay in Brela as a base. Opinions? Should we see Krka while there... Ive seen mixed opinions, particularly if we are spending 2 days in Plitvice.

2. the last week of the trip is giving us the most issues with what to do. Ive chosen Dugi Otok because I would like to have some more amazing beach, in a very pristine off the beaten path island. Saharun beach looks awesome. How would Dugi Otok compare to Cres and St Ivan's beach, or Losinj? or some other off the beaten path island with awesome beaches in northern dalmatia?

3. If we are going to see Hvar Town, Dubrovnik, and Zadar (while at garden festival) do we need to go to Rovinj? Would you stay longer on an island? would you go instead from Plitvice to Zagreb and see Samobor or some other town and the castle around there for those last 2 days? We would use Rovinj as a base to see other portions of Istria, but im wondering if we need to see Motovun if we are seeing tiny beautiful towns in Czech and Slovenia.
