Join FARC, they will even pay you.

Are you aware of the Darien Gap?

Hello,

What a pity that some TT members waste people's time with their sarcastic, unhelpful comments.

I have spent some time in the Darién and the San Blas Islands. The safest way to make it from Panamá to somewhere safe in Colombia would most likely be the ferries heading South through the San Blas Islands, changing to a bus once you are in Colombia. Otherwise, you could look for a reliable Kuna guide at the "end of the road" (Yaviza?) and hike it. This could be dicey, because of the FARC, but if the Kuna guide is dependable and confident that you will make it, who knows? This would be an adventuresome and risky trip, but not impossible.

Cheers!

Excuse me? Who is wasting time here? This question is going back like a plague, it's enough to just use search or google!
I'm pretty sure that cheapest way possible OP wanted has nothing to do hiking the gap with narcotraficantes.

Dear Thesuntheneonlight,

Now that an historic agreement has been made between the FARC and the U.S. puppet government in Colombia, travel in the Darién should be safer:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/colombia/9182325/Colombias-FARC-release-10-hostages.html

The rainforest there is the most pristine and beautiful I have seen anywhere.

Happy trails!
