One week in Slovakia

Hi guys I need your help.
I will be arriving into Bratislava soon and spending 3 days there which leaves me with the dilemma of where to go for the remainder 7 days( could be slightly longer.) I would like to make the most of this time but cannot decide whether to stay in Slovakia or to travel to neighbouring countries. I haven't yet booked my return flight.
I am into beautiful scenery and architecture , natural springs/spas, history, forests, national parks, cafes and local cuisine.
My conundrum is that Bratislava is the only city I can fly in and out of in Slovakia but I do not want to backtrack in such a short trip. I can fly back home from most southern Polish cities as well as Budapest so I was hoping someone here could suggest a realistic itinerary from Bratislava to Krakow for example or Bratislava to Budapest ? Or at least offer the must see sights in between.
I will be travelling on a budget and hope to stay in backpackers. I would also appreciate feedback if anyone knows if it is possible to stay in wooden huts in the countryside at this time of year and how much these cost roughly ?
Many thanks.

Don't take your vacation b4 leaving home. Let it flow as you learn, on the road.
