7 days in Bosnia, Montenegro and Kosovo

Hi all

I am a new comer in the forum. Given the time constraint, I will spend only about 7.5 days in Western Balkan countries. I shall arrive and leave at Sarajevo and would like to know whether I can visit Sarajevo, Mostar, Kotor (or Dubrovnik instead) and Prishtina in such short period? How to plan? Any places should not be missed or can be skipped?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards,
Edward from Hong Kong

Hello,
Given your limited time I would recommend dropping Pristina and instead concentrate on Sarajevo, Mostar and Kotor - these places are generally regarded as 'must-sees' in this region.
Pristina is an OK city and has its own charms, but I don't think it's as worthwhile as the other places (besides which, it's 9+ hours away from Kotor by bus, with a change of bus in Podgorica).
There's some useful information regarding bus timetables here.
You could take the train from Sarajevo to Mostar, bus to Dubrovnik or Kotor, and take the bus back to Sarajevo. I believe there's only one night bus, leaving every Friday, from Kotor to Sarajevo, but you could take a bus to Podgorica (approximately 2 hour journey), and travel to Sarajevo from there - according to the link I posted there's 5 daily buses.
What time of the year are you travelling?

I have to agree with that amount of time (7 nights) I would restrict myself to Sarajevo (3 nights), Mostar (1 night), Dubrovnik (2 nights), Kotor (1 night).

i would propose to balance a bit towards kotor vs sarajevo.

to have almost 50% of time for a sarajevo seems too much. apart from Bascarsija, and few other minor sites, its not THAT interesting city, while in Kotor surroundings u can see e.g.jewell Perast while whole of Boka bay is just so much more nice vs sarajevo
