Best way to get from Piran to Venice in June
Hi everyone! My friend and I are traveling from Piran to Venice in June. We were planning on taking the ferry, but it seems to be pretty expensive. Has anyone ever taken it? If so, through which company?
I am also wondering if there is another good option, either train or bus, to Venice. I've only found train times that are quite long, so was hoping for an alternative.
We could skip Piran entirely and just head straight from Ljubljana to Venice as well...
Any suggestions or help you could offer on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Don't skip Piran. It's a very nice corner of the planet. :)From Piran or Koper, take a morning bus to Trieste (not very far and several daily) then a train to Mestre and Venice Santa Lucia from there. They leave roughly once an hour from Trieste.
If you decide to go to Venice from Ljubljana, buses are considerably faster and more direct than trains.

You will probably have to change at Capodistria/Koper.
