Heading off Piste
Hi everyoneI have started writing a new blog on all things skiing. It mainly focuses on great places to ski in Europe and looking at some of the maybe less well known resorts. I'm just getting into the whole blogging thing so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, good or bad.
I decided to start this blog to tell other people about the places I have been skiing so others can experience them too. My main aim is to give someone the place where they will have a fantastic holiday.
There will also be other articles about personal experiences, getting started skiing with tips and hints and reviews of the best gear and such like.
Hopefully it will appeal to someone!
Cheers

Being from the Netherlands I have to say the timing for posting a blog with this name is a bit unfortunate, to say the least...2

Why? This is an international site. You don't really expect the world to shut down because of the skiing incident, do you? The Royal family themselves are out skiing again. In Lech right now, there'll be people skiing off-piste, some paying attention to the hazard warnings, some not ... Life goes on.
Maybe if the blog has a section on safety, it might do some good.

It was just a light-hearted comment, given that it is a bit of a coincidence that this blog appeared this very weekend (this morning I also saw on the news that in two unrelated accidents in the US, 4 skiiers died when caught in a snowslide while going off-piste).Of course I wouldn't expect the world to shut down just because a skiier who got involved in a tragic accident happens to be a prince.

Yep there is no doubt that it was somewhat unfortunate timing! obviously it is complete coincidence though.Just wanted to do a little bit of research and get everyones opinions about their favourite countries and resorts to ski in Europe?
Why is it your favourite country?
Whats sets your favourite resort apart from the rest?
Any help would be much appreciated
cheers

irony is difficult to pick up. Cluttering a message with winks smileys and other emoticons defeats the purposeTrue. I'm afraid I was pushing the boundaries of my English skills, perhaps - this is a good example how I, if I were a native speaker, could have changed one word or added another one that would have allowed me to strike just the right note.
Let me stress that I had absolutely no intention to criticise or ridicule mppm for posting this.
