Hello - you need to visit the German Railways website ( http://www.bahn.com ). It's easy to purchase a ticket online which you can print at home. From Munich to Ljubljana the price is from 39EUR, not including reservation fees.

Hi Andyyip and welcome to Thorn Tree.I hope you have a very happy and long stay with us all.
As *1.... kmcat - has already wisely advised, there are trains from Ljubljana to Munich for €39 - one way.
Some require a change, other's don't. However, some with 1 change - are quicker than direct services. Not much in it - though.
There are budget airline fares for around €100 one way - but quite honestly, even though the flight is only an hour and the train is 6 hours+, by the time you've added on waiting at the airport and the extra €60, best take the train eh?
Unless of course you're gonna be in a mad hurry.
good luck with everything.
I like both Munich and Slovenia.

Reservation is unnecesary, unless you take the night train.Ljubljana to Prague:
1st step You have to go back to Munich, same trains, same price as above bought on the net.
2nd step There are 2 direct trains from Munich to Prague:
09:01 - 14:51
17:02 - 22:51
The standard ticket is 65.9 EUR, but you can do it much cheaper!
First of all buy a Bayern-Boehmen Ticket for 24 EUR if you buy it from the automat or 26 EUR from the ticket office. This ticket is valid even in the Czech Republic(hence Boehmen - Bohemia) until Plzen.
Plzen - Praha ticket is 113 CZK, about 5 EUR. If you take the earlier train, you can get off in Plzen, it`s a nice town to walk around for a couple of hours, buy the ticket and continue to Prague on the next train. If you take the later train it`ll be too late to get off in Plzen, so just buy the ticket on board the train from the conductor. There will be a small extra fee for buying the ticket on the train, but not more than a couple of euros. You`d better exchange some Czech crowns in Munich, because the conductor might not accept euro!
Alternatively you can travel via Salzburg and Linz. It`s 2 hours shorter trip, but more expensive(standard ticket bought at the station 86 EUR) and you have to change trains twice instead of only once in Munich.
I`d go via Munich!
