Best months for trekking & camping in Kazakhstan & Kyrgystan?

Hi fellow travellers,

I'm planning a 2-week solo trip to Kazakhstan and Kyrgystan this year, and interested in exploring the natural beauty of the two regions - lakes, steppes, mountains and other unique geographical features.

As a first time Central Asia traveller, my question is which months are most ideal for outdoor camping in terms of weather and safety. I can get by with a fewer hours of sleep since I'm planning to alternate between camping and inside accomodations during the trip. Can anyone recommend me some good months and regions/cities near which I can enjoy a few quiet nights under the stars?
