Changi Free Tour

Hi people, I just wanted to know if the Free Singapore Tour from Changi Airport is any good? I'm in transit in November and will be waiting for 12 hours for my next flight, so I wanted to take the Free tour offered, just want to know if anyone has done it and was it any good? Cheers all

Ye no doubt, just wanted to know if it was one of those tours where you're on the bus 90% of the time or can you get off at certain points and hit the shops?

In answer to #4, yes definitely, and there's an MRT station right at the airport which will take you.

hihi
with 8 hours to spare in singapore ( 2 hours check in and out)
heres a list of suggestions of places you may wish to visit .
it takes 30mins to get from the airport to the city via mrt.

chinatown
arab street - bugis station and walk .
clarke quay
esplanade

must try in singapore its our food .
examples are
chicken rice ,
satay
nasi byrani.

slowly walk and enjoy the sights , you might want to come back here to learn more and experience the singapore vibe.

I haven't done a tour from the airport but a while back I arrived on a bus from Thailand abt 0700, spent the day checking similar stuff to gerbilly's suggestion and then left on a 1700 flight.

Visa on arrival means no hassles doing independent stuff - and being a transit city, Singapore is used to people coming and going very short term.

At The price its a complete rip off.(ha) Though at a higher price reading up and stepping out on your own may be a better experience its all very easy sings is Asia light of course. Ive spent months there but a free highlights trip cant be a bad deal but anything you want to do yourselves will also be easy and perhaps more to your personall taste.
