German/Bavarian Train ticket deals on RE trains etcIt's been 6 years since I went to Germany, and if someone can give me up to date information about their weekend/weekday RE train tickets and deals they have going on. (Yes I've tried the web, it's confusing and my German isn't that good)
1) From what I remember there's a weekend RE Deutschland-wide special deal? Like up to 4 people for about 30 euros, for one day on any weekend day? (Or something like that!)
2) Isn't there some Bavarian ticket, like post 11am every day on RE trains only, 2 people (or 1, or 4, not sure) can travel on this one ticket for 30 euros, or something, for the whole day after 11:00am?
3) I think other states do this sort of deal too, not just Bavaria?
Sorry about my vague recollections, I'm sure people who know about this, know what I mean! So thanks if you can help me out! I'll be there in August/September too, if that matters.

1Here's how you help yourself:
1* Google 'bahn.de'
2* Click on the appropriate flag in the top right corner to get English.
3* Click on 'Offers' in the top headings.
4* Find 'Travelling in Germany', and click on 'Group travel'.
5* Click on 'Lander Tickets'
6* Click on 'Schones-Wochenende Ticket'
That should answer all your questions.

4Excellent links and clear explanations, thanks muchly.
One more question not even the website tells me: Where it lists types of trains, i.e. "RE", "ICE", "IC", What does "ALX" mean??
the first 4 options include "ALX".
