Fly fishing for novices, with lessons & equipment?

My wife and I are interested in learning how to fly fish, and plan on continuing once we return from a month-long trip to Chile this March. We have spent time looking at various lodges & web sites, and see many interesting places. Most require you to bring your own gear. We want to spend 5-6 days at a lodge, with great food, and the option of other activities, including maybe horse riding, and hiking. We cannot travel through Chile carrying all the gear required (waders, boots, poles, etc), and besides, we don't own those items yet.

So, looking for recommendations, preferably from firsthand or second hand knowledge.
