Seeking car and driver in SwazilandI'm travelling to Swaziland in a few weeks. I'm looking for a car and driver to pick me up at Mlilwane Wildlife Reserve one morning, take me around the Ezulwini Valley and Malkerns Valley and then drop me at the Mozambique border the same day. Any leads for reaonably priced cars and drivers greatly appreciated. Or could I negotiate this with a taxi driver at the airport when I arrive in Swaziland the day before (and, if so, how much should I expect to pay)?
Alternatively, I could go in a taxi around the valleys and then jump on a bus to the border or all the way to Maputo. Any guidance on this plan also appreciated (e.g. it is easy enough to arrange with a taxi driver the day before; any information on buses to the border or through to Maputo).
For reasons I won't bore you with, it's not feasible for me to hire a car and drive myself.

1Why don't you make those arrangement at the Mliwane Wildlife Reserve? I am sure that someone on site can make a recommendation. We stayed there in late 2010 and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had additional tours that you can book through the front desk. One that we especially enjoyed was a homestead visit.
Email them and ask for recommendations before or after you arrive.

2I had started with Mlilwane - which recommended a company that wants to charge me USD 360 for the Ezulwini Valley and Malkerns Valley and then dropping me at the border! Obviously a non-starter. I was intending to go back to Mlilwane to ask for a do-over on transport advice, but certainly would also appreciate any information anyone else can give me.

3That sounds like an awful lot of money for that. Have you tried googling tours and transport to Maputo?

5For anyone who is interested in how it turned out: I struck a deal with the taxi driver who drove me from the airport to Mlilwane. He picked me up early the next morning, drove me around the things I wanted to see in Ezulwini Valley (including the National Museum, memorial to King Sobhuza II and Swazi Culture Village), did a quick run to Mbabane and then to Manzini to the kombi drop-off point at about 2pm. Can't remember the exact amount he charged, but it was the equivalent of about US$40-50, which I thought was great value. The kombi ride to Maputo was an experience in itself. Incidentally - there really was no transport at the border, so glad I didn't go with the plan of being dropped at the border as I then may have had problems finding transport from the border to Maputo.
