I am living in Cape Town and want to do a trip to the Sossusvlei area. I will be travelling alone and most likely flying by air. The tours I am looking at are 3 days - accommodated or camping. I have looked into namibia.org and emailed chameleon backpackers.
So my questions are -
What are the essentials on what I must see here? What should a good 3 day tour included?
Does anyone have any experience which any tours and can recommend a company?

The visit to Sussusvlei MUST include a visit to Sossusvlei. That sounds crazy, but I have seen reports on this forum where the tour participants have been taken to Dune 45 and told that that is Sossusvlei. The trip should also include a visit to the Dead Vlei, and only then should a visit to Dune 45 be considered. You would want to get to Sossusvlei as close to sunrise as possible (if not before sunrise) to see the magic in the colours. Once the sun is up the colours are rather flat and uninspiring.Where does day 1 of the tour commence (Windhoek?) and at what time and where and at what time does day 3 end?. Is there time to go anywhere else in only 3 days?
