2I have flown twice with them to Dublin and couldn't fault them. They have always been the cheaper option and I plan to fly with them again.

8Air Transat are an OK airline.
In fact they do flights cheaper from the UK to Canada, than some of so called 'Budget' airline fares WestJet charge for, internally in Canada.
Hopefully Transat will stick around longer than both Royal and Zoom did. Two very cheap - and very good airlines from The UK to Canada.

10I haven't flown into Scotland using Air Transat but I fly into Faro, Portugal all the time using their services. Excellent given the costs involved. Now I'm a short person and I've actually stopped flying Club Class because I found the larger seats very uncomfortable. I actually find their 'cattle car' seats very comfy, especially towards the back of the plane where they have 2 seat strips for several rows.
I've also got a friend who used to travel to France quite a bit and used Air Transat regularly and swore by them.

12i've flown them a few times. check carefully as some flights are code-share with thomas cook.
my 6'1" hockey-player-built bf flew them gatwick to calgary return, and found the seats comfortable. if you found economy awful, you could always upgrade to club for return.
i do miss the free booze from the air canada flights.
