5I would like to try to go from Aqaba to Egypt by land as well. My husband does not speak any English. At the Israeli border will the security officers interview us separately or together? If they do it separately, we have to give up.
Another question, I will leave Egypt by air from Sharm but I have a connection flight to Italy at Cairo. I will stay in the transit area. Is the ASEZ enough or, since I am in Cairo, I must have a proper visa?
Thanks a lot for your help

6Don't worry - even if they unlikely event that they wouldn't interview you at length - which they do very rarely for ordinary tourists - and in the even more unlikely event that they would separate you they will find some way to communicate with your husband.
If you want to leave Egypt via Cairo you will need a full Egyptian visa. Those are not available at the land border with Israel, so you will have to apply for one at the Egyptian embassy in Rome. Alternatively you can try can get one in Eilat - but that will realistically require an overnight stay there.
The ASEZ visa is a Jordanian visa which you get if you are travelling to Aqaba only - if you enter Jordan at Amman airport you will have a full Jordanian visa.
At the border with Israel at Taba you can get a Sinai pass, but those are only valid for travel on eastern Sinai and not for Cairo.

thank you very much.
Just for a confirmation, I will stay only in the transit area at Cairo airport, so I will not go out in the city. Even in this case do I need the full Egyptian visa? If yes, can I maybe do it at the airport in Cairo, since there is the apposite office where you buy the 20USD stamp (outside the transit area)?
Thank you again for your help

8Yes, you will still need a full visa.
When flying from Sharm to Cairo you will arrive at the domestic terminal in Cairo. You will not clear passport control until you enter the international terminal at which time you'll have to present a full Egyptian visa.
You can't by your visa on arrival at the domestic terminal in Cairo - they are only available in the international arrivals hall before (i.e. for you: beyond) passport control.
You can get the visa fairly easily at the Eilat consulate (68 Ephroni Street) and possibly in Amman, otherwise just post your passport to the Egyptian embassy in Rome.
