Honey as a sugar substitute, good or bad?
I put honey in my coffee, milk and fruit juice.

Ultimately, ignore the health claims, and just use whichever seems to taste better in context. There are times when you want honey, and times when you want regular ol' sugar.

Honey to me is good in tea, but I prefer granulated sugar in coffee.

(Honey (or any added sugar) in fruit juice? Isn't that sort of "carrying coals to Newcastle"?)

Try whole or powdered dried "stevia" leaves. It has almost zero calories.
However it could have a slight herbal flavour and might impinge on the fragrance of your coffee or tea.

Thank you!! I tried to like honey as a sugar substitute but it just wasn't my thing. Now I'm glad I didn't.

I tried stevia in my coffee once - it was horrible. Then I looked up the possible side effects. I'm sticking to good old fashioned sugar.

Whatever floats your boat.

I use sugar for beverages, I use honey for pancakes.

There are remains of honey (in the pyramids) that is crystallized but still edible.

Will Honey kill humming birds in a feeder?

Is White sugar inert?

Believe it or not Myanmar - I just saw your post.

I tried to search for the side effects to stevia I saw before but couldn't find it. It mentioned stuff like headaches and nausea. When I looked today I saw one site that mentioned low blood pressure and another that stated that there is no concrete evidence of side effects.

Ah well.

Please do yourself a favor and research more sites on honey.. Honey is an
excellent substitute for sugar, for many reasons. And you probably already
know this... never get information from any site that has a vested interest in the
subject.
